NEW YORK -- Phoenix center Brittney Griner and Indiana forward Tamika Catchings highlight the WNBA All-Defensive Team.

The league announced the team, selected by WNBA coaches, on Sunday. Joining Griner and Catchings are Indiana's Briann January, Atlanta's Angel McCoughtry and Los Angeles' Nneka Ogwumike.

Catchings, who leads the WNBA in career steals, earned her 10th first-team honor.

Three New York Liberty players earned second-team honors: Kiah Stokes, Tina Charles and Tanisha Wright. They led a defense that limited opponents to a league-low 71.1 points per game and helped the Liberty (23-11) to the best regular-season record in the league.

Rounding out the second team were Phoenix's DeWanna Bonner and Atlanta's Sancho Lyttle.
