Cavaliers' Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert to be OK for Game 4

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers got good news on the injury front on Wednesday as both Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova are expected to play in Game 4 on Thursday.

Shumpert got an MRI on his left shoulder and it revealed a bruise and no further structural damage, Cavs coach David Blatt said. Shumpert ran into a hard screen from Golden State Warriorsforward Draymond Green in the first half of the Cavs' 96-91 Game 3 victory Tuesday night. He left the floor but later returned and played with limited effectiveness with the shoulder, which he already dislocated earlier this season.

"I'm all right, this isn't the regular season," Shumpert said. "It would take a lot for me not to play, there would have to be structural damage."

Dellavedova spent Wednesday night in the Cleveland Clinic with severe dehydration after his 20-point performance in Game 3. He left the arena in an ambulance after dealing with cramping following the game. But after IV treatments he recovered and was released in time to join his teammates for their film session on Wednesday afternoon.

"I felt like a pushed the limit a few times," he said. "That's the most tired I've been. I'm feeling good now, though."

Blatt said the team will monitor Dellavedova's minutes going forward but that the player has rejected the idea of reducing them in this series.

"Delly's tank is low," Blatt said, "but we're doing everything we can to fill it back up."
