NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Anaheim Ducks goalie Jonathan Bernier gave up four goals on 16 shots while making his first career playoff start in Monday's Game 6 loss to the Nashville Predators.

Nashville added a pair of empty-netters in a 6-3 victory that sends the Predators to their first Stanley Cup finals.

John Gibson started the first five games of this series for the Ducks but left after the first period of Saturday's 3-1 loss to Nashville with a hamstring injury. Gibson skated Monday morning and was expected to play before telling the Ducks he couldn't go, coach Randy Carlyle said.

Jhonas Enroth was dressed as Bernier's backup but did not get into the game.

Nashville's Pekka Rinne stopped 38 of Anaheim's 41 shots on the other side.
