Kershaw welcomes Rams to LA with 200 bottles of Johnny Walker Blue

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw gave the Rams a warm welcome to Los Angeles this week. The pitcher sent 200 bottles of Johnny Walker Blue to team headquarters with custom engraving that read: "WELCOME HOME! LA ALL DAY."

The blue label of the blended Scotch whisky retails for up to $200 a bottle. Players can pick up their bottles when they arrive at team headquarters in Thousand Oaks.

"I know our loyal LA fan base has been waiting for this moment for a long time," said the pitcher, who is currently on the disabled list with a back injury.

"To celebrate their return and welcome the Rams back to our city, it seemed fitting to send the team limited edition bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label: Year of the Ram. I look forward to watching them play for many seasons to come. Here's to a new beginning, great success and a winning season!"

According to a spokesperson for Kershaw, similar limited-edition "Year of the Ram" bottles will also be available for sale from some liquor retailers in the Los Angeles area.
