LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Sparks have re-signed All-Star forward Nneka Ogwumike, keeping her with the team that drafted her.
A former Stanford star, Ogwumike has career averages of 15.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals and has started all 123 career games during her four years in the WNBA.
Last season, Ogwumike averaged a career-best 16.5 points and led the league in minutes played at 34.1 per game. She was named to the league's All-Defensive team despite dealing with injuries.
The Sparks open the season in May. They announced the deal Wednesday.
