Many who took to Twitter during the game were surprised when they couldn't tweet.
The outage began just before 8 p.m. and most Twitter users were able to access the social media site again in just under 30 minutes.
Twitter tweeted at about 8:35 p.m. that they were aware of users experiencing issues and were working to resolve the problem.
