Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been invited to watch Le Classique with LA Galaxy teammate Romain Alessandrini after making his move to Major League Soccer.

Ibrahimovic, 36, made an explosive start to life in MLS with two quick-fire goals as a late substitute to help his new team to a 4-3 win over rivals LAFC.

The former Paris-Saint Germain striker facedAlessandrini in Ligue 1 when the Frenchman was at Marseille and now they are teammates,Alessandrini wants to keep the rivalry going.

"Why not invite him to my home for the next Classique?" Alessandrini said to Journal du Dimanche as part of the publication's focus on Ibrahimovic's attempts to break America.

"He played for PSG for several years, but he is a top player."

Ibrahimovic was introduced as a substitute after 62 minutes at home to Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, but he was unable to inspire a similar fightback to his debut and Sigi Schmid's men went down 2-0.

Alessandrini also featured and made way five minutes later for Sebastian Lletget.
