BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities searched a Beverly Hills neighborhood for a suspect who fired multiple shots at a vehicle in the area Saturday.

A containment area was set up in the 100 block of North Palm Drive after police received a call of a shooting around 5:12 p.m.

The neighborhood was placed on a lockdown as police searched for the suspect, who police said fired multiple rounds.

Authorities concluded their search around 10:30 p.m. They said no threat to the public existed in the area.

Police said no injuries were reported, and investigators interviewed the victims in the targeted vehicle.

It was later discovered that both vehicles were involved in a road rage incident prior to the shooting, police said.

No one has been arrested or detained. A suspect description was not provided.

The investigation was ongoing.
