LANCASTER, Calif. (KABC) -- At least half a dozen big rigs were knocked over by high winds on the 14 Freeway in the Mojave Desert Tuesday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The 14 Freeway was shut down between Avenue D in Lancaster to the Los Angeles-Kern County line after the gusting winds toppled the trucks. No injuries were reported. The freeway was later reopened.
The 14 Freeway has since reopened to passenger vehicles only. High-profile vehicles are also not being allowed on a section of State Route 58.
