LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Temperatures are staying cool in Southern California on Friday with a chance of drizzle - but the weekend will be warmer as the first day of fall arrives.
Los Angeles and Orange counties will see a 30% chance of rain Friday morning followed by a high of 75 by the afternoon. Over the weekend things warm up quite a bit, hitting the mid 80s on Sunday and possibly 90 by Monday.
The valleys and Inland Empire can expect a chance of showers in the morning with a high of 79 by the afternoon.
Beaches will stay in the mid 60s on Friday with a chance of morning drizzle.
Mountains will see a high of just 59 with a 50% chance of showers and some thunderstorms possible. The weekend will warm to the 70s.
The desert areas on Friday will see a 20% chance of light rain with a high of 83 - climbing to the 90s by Sunday.
