
LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A cooldown has arrived after a scorching start to the week across Southern California.
Temperatures are beginning to drop back down to where they should be for the next few days -- around the mid-to-upper 70s and low-80s.
Then, we're tracking yet another warmup heading into next weekend.
Los Angeles and Orange counties on Tuesday will see marine layer clouds, with a high of 74 degrees and a low of 58.
The valleys and Inland Empire on Tuesday can expect sunny skies with a high of 74 degrees and a low of 56. Temperatures will bump back up to the 80s heading into the end of the week.
Beaches on Tuesday will see a mix of clouds and sunshine, with a high of 67 degrees and a low of 55.
Mountain communities on Tuesday can expect a high of 79 degrees and a low of 45. Temperatures drop more significantly on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing highs to the low-70s and upper-60s.
Desert areas on Tuesday will see a high of 96 degrees and a low of 60. Palm Springs is expected to reach 103 degrees.
