11-year-old girl reported missing in Fontana found safe

FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- An 11-year-old girl who went missing Wednesday morning in Fontana was found safe, police said.

Kassidy Johnson was last seen leaving her home in the 11600 block of Lark Court, about two blocks west of Citrus Avenue, about 5 a.m.

According to the Fontana Police Department, she was found safe Wednesday afternoon and has since been reunited with her family.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our posts, kept an eye out, and called in with tips," said Fontana Police in a post on X. "Your quick action and concern played a crucial role in bringing Kassidy home.

This is a perfect example of how our community pulls together in need."
