NORCO, Calif. (KABC) -- More than 2,400 Americans died in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. The Japanese attack on the naval base in Hawaii plunged the United States into World War II.

Southern Californians marked the 75th anniversary of the attack by gathering at the naval installation in Norco alongside past and present military personnel - including two Pearl Harbor survivors.
