Wickes Furniture closes, discounts stock

LOS ANGELES 38 of the chains stores in California, Nevada and two Midwestern states will shut down and liquidate stock due to a bankruptcy ruling.

Discounts of up to 50 percent have been reported.

The renowned furniture retailer filed for Chapter 11 protection in early February. In court papers, the company listed its debt between $50 million and $100 million.

Wickes locations in Southern California include:

  • 1256 N. Magnolia, Anaheim;
  • 1482 Second St., Beaumont;
  • 11111 183rd St., Cerritos;
  • 3615 Grand Oaks, Corona;
  • 3305 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa;
  • 39825 Avenida Acacias, Murrieta;
  • 1721 Ventura Blvd., Oxnard;
  • 39626 10th Street West, Palmdale;
  • 3363 E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena;
  • 11750 Fourth St., Rancho Cucamonga;
  • 6155 Valley Spring Parkway, Riverside;
  • 217 E. Club Center Drive, San Bernardino;
  • 26520 Carl Boyer Drive, Santa Clarita;
  • 18850 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance;
  • 6161 Sepulveda Blvd., Van Nuys;
  • 12704 Amargosa Road, Victorville; and
  • 301 Glendora Ave., West Covina
