Dixon then drove her to Azusa, where he slit her throat.
Friday, Dixon sat in court as the victim's family addressed him before the sentence was handed down.
"I only hope that I'm there to watch you take your final breath on this earth," said Rosalia Burmeister, the victim's mother. "I hope it is as painful and as horrible as my child's last breath was."
Dixon's wife and another man were earlier sentenced to 25 years to life for their roles in the Burmeister murder.
