New study: Longevity may be genetic

BOSTON Researchers at Boston University studied the children of centenarians, people 100 years old and beyond, for 10 years.

They found the offspring are less likely to develop cardiovascular disease, and compared to the average adult, children of centenarians had a 78 percent lower risk for a heart attack, and an 83 percent lower risk for a stroke.
