Thousands of fans poured in to Dow Diamond for a chance to be the one millionth fan.
After monitoring each gate carefully, 47 minutes after the ballpark opened, Merry of Sanford walked right in.
"My husband said, 'You go first,' so I took the ticket and they told me I was the millionth fan," Merry said.
Sue and her husband Mike are season ticket holders and Saturday just so happens to be their 19th wedding anniversary.
"Tonight is one of the nights on our plan, so is tomorrow night, so we were planning to spend our anniversary at the game," she said. "This is making it extra special tonight, too."
The milestone is also an opportunity for Dow Diamond to reflect on its nearly four-year history.
The Loons support more than 300 jobs and create more than $24 million of economic impact throughout the Great lakes Bay Region.
