Whitting returns to UH as baseball coach

HOUSTON UH athletics director Mack Rhoades describes Whitting as a "program builder."

Whitting, a 1995 UH graduate who spent eight seasons as an assistant with the Cougars, joined the TCU staff in 2003. Whitting this year helped coach the Horned Frogs to their first appearance in the College World Series.

Whitting replaces Rayner Noble.
