Gang task force cracks down on Riverside gang

RIVERSIDE, Calif. On Thursday at about 7 a.m., members of the Riverside Police Department and Riverside County Jurupa Valley Gang Task Force Seven conducted searches at seven locations.

The searches resulted in the recovery of drug related currency and the arrest of three subjects for possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, sales of drugs and parole violations. The operation was the result of an on-going investigation by the Riverside County Jurupa Valley Gang Task Force Seven.

The Task Force is one of eight teams composing the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force. It is a collaborative effort of 25 law enforcement agencies, with the goal of combating criminal street gangs. The Riverside County Jurupa Valley Gang Task Force Seven team is staffed with members of the Riverside Police Department, Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Riverside County District Attorney's Office, Riverside County Probation Office, California Highway Patrol and California State Parole Office.
