Vitamins stored in fridge lose nutrients

Many people rely on vitamins to supplement their diets, but a new study found that those who store them in the refrigerator may not be getting their full effect.Food scientists at Purdue University found that the refrigerator and bathrooms are the worst places to store vitamins and other medications - even if the bottle is tightly closed.

Many such pills are water-soluble so water from the humidity in these areas cause the vitamins to break down and lose nutritional value.

Scientist recommend that you store your vitamins in a dry, well-ventilated place for maximum efficacy.
