Vitamins stored in fridge lose nutrients

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Food scientists at Purdue University found that the refrigerator and bathrooms are the worst places to store vitamins and other medications - even if the bottle is tightly closed.

Many such pills are water-soluble so water from the humidity in these areas cause the vitamins to break down and lose nutritional value.

Scientist recommend that you store your vitamins in a dry, well-ventilated place for maximum efficacy.
