Helicopter pilot saves calf from OK icy pond

WATONGA, Okla. The animal wandered onto the ice near Watonga and was slipping and sliding but wasn't able to get off of the ice.

Pilot Mason Dunn swooped in and used the wind from the helicopter rotors to push the calf along.

There was one close call when the ice broke, but the calf was able to climb out and reach dry land.

Dunn says it was an easy decision for him to help the calf.

"I'd never forgive myself if I went out there and tried to save a calf and it fell through the water and drown or something like that," said Dunn.

Dunn is becoming quite the pro - he was the same pilot who helped save a deer stuck on the ice a few years ago.
