The Chicago native has opened a weight loss center very near the neighborhood where she grew up. Hudson is hoping her success in shedding pounds will inspire others, especially women in the African American community.
"Weight Watchers is like my extended family, and Chicago is also my family, so I love bringing the two together," said Hudson.
Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, said she has already lost 42 pounds.
"My goal is 100, so I'm going to come back here to the new center and I'm going to get to my goal," said Julia Hudson.
Jennifer Hudson has never said exactly how much weight she has lost, preferring to focus on the healthy lifestyle changes she has made.
