'Miss America' song cut from pageant over dispute

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.

If you're a fan of the pageant, you know the lyrics, "There she is, Miss America" which start the "Miss America" song. That song has officially been dropped.

Back in 1955, the pageant started using the song to introduce the new Miss America as she was crowned. The song was replaced by instrumental music at the 2013 pageant in January over a licensing lawsuit.

There isn't a final decision yet on a replacement song, Miss American Organization Vice President Sharon Pearce told The Press of Atlantic City.
