AZUSA, Calif. (KABC) -- A suspect was wounded in a deputy-involved shooting at the end of a high-speed pursuit in Azusa Thursday, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said.

The shooting occurred near E. Alosta and N. Citrus avenues at about 6 p.m.

The suspect was airlifted to L.A. County-USC Medical Center, loaded off the hospital's rooftop helipad and taken to the trauma center for treatment. His condition is not known.

No deputies were injured.
