DALLAS (KABC) -- Former "Scandal" actor Columbus Short was arrested in Dallas early Saturday for public intoxication.

Short was arrested by Dallas police around 2 a.m. at the Katy Trail Ice House, a popular beer garden and restaurant.

This is not Short's first run-in with the law. In March, the 31-year-old pleaded not guilty to felony battery for a fight that seriously injured a man at a West Hollywood restaurant. Short allegedly fractured the man's left eye socket and knocked him unconscious.

He was arrested for misdemeanor spousal battery on Feb. 14 after allegedly threatening his then-wife with a knife during a fight.

In April, the actor announced he was not returning to play Harrison Wright on ABC's hit show for its fourth season. Short's movie credits include "Stomp The Yard," "The Losers" and "Accepted."
