Investigators said at least two armed men forced their way into the house and took personal property from a victim inside the home.

CALABASAS, Calif. (KABC) -- A home-invasion robbery investigation is underway at a Calabasas home belonging to Karim Kharbouch, a hip-hop artist known as French Montana.

Los Angeles County sheriff's officials received a call about a home invasion shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of Garrett Court.

Investigators said at least two armed men forced their way into the Moureau Estates residence around 5:30 a.m. and took personal property from two victims inside the home before fleeing on foot.

It's unknown if Kharbouch was one of the two victims inside the home, or if anyone was hurt during the robbery.

Officials have yet to release a detailed description of the suspects.

The home has been a robbery target once before, when singer Selena Gomez lived there, according to neighbor Kris Saucedo.

"That was the same thing," Saucedo said. "That was a guy that was on foot. ... Other than that, it's never had any problems. Only with celebrities do we have problems."

Tuesday's robbery was not Kharbouch's first brush with crime. The rapper was shot in 2003 while leaving a recording studio in New York.

Anyone with information on the robbery was urged to contact Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's detectives at (818) 878-1808. If you wish to remain anonymous, call L.A. Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
