Man found shot to death in car in Irwindale; murder investigation underway

IRWINDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A murder investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in a bullet-riddled car in Irwindale on Wednesday.

The man was found around 5:40 a.m. in the 15900 block of Foothill Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Further details surrounding the death were not available as authorities searched for witnesses to the crime.

The identity of the person was not released.

Foothill Boulevard was closed to traffic in both directions from Irwindale Avenue to En Canto Parkway due to the investigation.
