Suspect injured in Jefferson Park officer-involved shooting

JEFFERSON PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A suspect was wounded after an officer-involved shooting on Tuesday night in Jefferson Park.

The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. as officers went to investigate a narcotics transaction taking place at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the shooting. A suspect was hit once and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. No officers were injured.

Another suspect was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
