At about 7:45 p.m., Beverly Hills police received numerous calls of a possible DUI driver near Canon Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard.
Officers stopped Stamos at Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center because of a medical condition.
After an investigation at the hospital, Stamos was arrested and issued a citation for DUI. He was released to the care of the hospital.
On Saturday morning, Stamos thanked the Beverly Hills Police Department and the hospital on Twitter.

Stamos is scheduled to be in court on Sept. 11.
