LAKEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation was underway after a man and a woman in their 20s, described by neighbors as boyfriend and girlfriend, were found shot to death in a Lakewood home.
Authorities received a call Sunday afternoon regarding a report about a person screaming for the police.
When Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies responded to the 5900 block of Pepperwood Avenue, they found a woman and a man suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds inside a home.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said there were no signs of forced entry into the home, and a weapon was recovered.
Authorities said they're not searching for any outstanding suspects in connection to this case.
The names of the man and the woman were not immediately released. Neighbors described the two as a dating couple.
