Two brush fires broke out as Santa Ana winds picked up across Southern California on Friday.
The Springs Fire was reported around 11 a.m. on Gilman Springs Road in Moreno Valley, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. As the fire grew, it threatened homes in the Moreno Valley Ranch neighborhood.
Meanwhile, in northern Los Angeles County, crews were battling another, smaller brush fire in the Acton area, dubbed the Crown Fire.
Both fires triggered evacuation orders and warnings, all of which were lifted by Saturday evening, when both fires reached 95% containment.
The Lake Perris Recreation Area was evacuated on Friday due to the Springs Fire.
The blaze ignited near Gilman Springs Road around 11 a.m. and has since triggered evacuations in the area.

The Moreno Valley College campus was ordered evacuated on Friday due to the Springs Fire.
The school posted an alert on its Instagram account with the following information:
MVC Campus Evacuation Alert
Due to the fire in the area affecting the air quality, the campus is closing and all students, faculty, and staff are being directed to leave campus immediately.
Please exit the campus in a calm and orderly manner and follow any directions provided by campus safety personnel. All campus activities are suspended until further notice. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available.
