LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Firefighters are battling several wildfires across Los Angeles County, including in the Pacific Palisades, San Gabriel Valley, Sylmar and in the Hollywood Hills.
Red flag warnings are in effect and will and remain in place until 6 p.m. Friday for the Malibu coast, the Santa Monica Mountains Recreational Area, the San Gabriel Valley, the San Fernando Valley, Calabasas, the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Gabriel Mountains, and the 5 Freeway and 14 Freeway corridors.
Rams to play NFL playoff game in LA, but there is contingency plan
Monday night's wild-card playoff game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium will go ahead as planned, the NFL announced on Wednesday.
The league said there is a contingency to move the game to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona "if necessary."

Airbnb offering temporary housing for displaced SoCal residents
Airbnb.org is offering temporary housing for those displaced by the fires in the Los Angeles area.
The company is working with 211 LA, which offers free housing in Los Angeles County, to coordinate the housing effort.
Planet Fitness offers free access locker rooms, showers to those impacted by fires
Local Southern California Planet Fitness locations have opened their doors to anyone impacted by the California fires through Jan. 15.
Planet Fitness locations will offer free access to locker rooms, showers, electrical outlets, WiFi and HydroMassage loungers to impacted residents as well as first responders.
The company said it wanted to provide displaced residents with basic necessities and make sure first responders felt supported and cared for between shifts.

Palisades, Eaton fires largest on record for January in California
Wildfires burning in Pacific Palisades and Altadena are now considered the largest fires on record for the month of January in California.
The Palisades Fire grew to 15,832 acres within 24 hours. The Eaton Fire grew to 10,600 acres. The next largest for the month was the Viejas Fire in 2001 which burned just over 10,000 acres.
This is also the first year that two fires over 5,000 acres are burning concurrently in the month of January in California.
From 1950 to 2024, there were 15 wildland fires over 1,000 acres and just two fires over 5,000 acres in January.
