Green Day kicks off the big game with energetic performance

Green Day kicked off Super Bowl 60 by performing hit songs "Holiday," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "American Idiot" at Levi Stadium.

Green Day hardly sanitized its songs pre-game, but the audience didn't hear some of its most incendiary lyrics.

The live audience - including former NFL MVPs standing on the stage - heard Billie Joe Armstrong sing "subliminal mindf--- America" during "American Idiot." The line was made inaudible for the telecast.

The songs were all abbreviated, and Green Day didn't perform the second verse of "American Idiot," where Armstrong in recent years has sung "I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda."

"Holiday" also ended before its bridge, where Armstrong, referring to President George W. Bush, sings "Sieg Heil to the President Gasman."

Bad Bunny to take the stage in halftime show

Today is Super Bowl Sunday, and the highly anticipated Bad Bunny halftime show is just hours away.

The Grammy-winning global sensation is expected to bring his Puerto Rican culture to the stage at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California, along with a collection of his hit songs, including those off his most recent critically acclaimed album "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS."

The performance will mark a turning point for the Spanish-language genre and Puerto Rican culture, something integral to the artist's identity. Bad Bunny made history at last weekend's Grammys when his album became the first fully Spanish-language project to win album of the year.

Ahead of the Super Bowl, the three-time Grammy winner remained tight-lipped about what to expect out of the show, a posture he's mostly maintained since it was announced he would headline the event in September.

"I'm just trying to enjoy it," he said at a Thursday press conference. "I know I'm gonna have fun. All the crew, all the people, they're going to have fun that day."
