Mexico sees highest daily COVID-19 case total yet

MEXICO CITY (KABC) -- Mexico is continuing to break its own records when it comes to coronavirus infections across the country.

On Wednesday, the country's Health Ministry reported roughly 6,000 new COVID-19 cases and 790 new deaths.

Mexico has reported at least 5,000 new cases every day for the past week.

The country is reporting nearly 42,000 total virus-related deaths, the fourth most in the world.
