Woman whose body was found behind Mission Viejo bank identified

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman whose body was found behind a bank in Mission Viejo was identified Saturday afternoon.

Lenore Evelyn Powell's body was found covered by a blanket behind a U.S. Bank branch in the 25000 block of Muirlands Boulevard Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the 76-year-old Mission Viejo resident's death was deemed suspicious. It was unclear if the body had been dumped at the location or if she died there.

An autopsy was pending to determine Powell's cause of death.
