MORONGO VALLEY, Calif. -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.3 struck the Morongo Valley area early Monday morning.
The quake hit at 6:06 a.m. PT, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor struck approximately six miles west northwest of Morongo Valley, 12 miles northwest of Desert Hot Springs and 19 miles north northwest of Palm Springs.
Residents in Palm Springs and Banning reported feeling the quake.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
