Items from the LA Memorial Sports Arena are being placed up for auction to the public.

From seats to turnstiles, hockey goals and even the toilets - nearly every detachable piece of the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena is being put up for auction to the public.

The arena is being torn down to make room for a brand-new $250 million soccer stadium, museum and business complex.

The Exposition Park venue has seen history made inside, from Lakers games to concerts to the 1960 Democratic convention, when John F. Kennedy accepted his party's presidential nomination.

The arena opened in 1959 and closed down with a series of concerts by Bruce Springsteen in March of this year.

Among items being placed up for sale are scoreboards, hockey goals, player lockers, furniture, chairs and equipment

Bidding for the online auction closes Wednesday.
