SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two teenagers accused of plotting a mass shooting at South Pasadena High School are facing new charges.

Prosecutors amended their complaint to include one count of conspiracy to commit murder and one count of conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon.

The new charges, which were filed on Monday in Juvenile Court, apply to both the 16 and the 17 year old. The suspects' names have not been released due to their ages.

The suspects have already pleaded not guilty to making criminal threats against another teen.

Officials say the teens wanted to kill as many people as possible. The conspiracy took place between Sept. 1, 2013, and Aug. 16 of this year, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said.

A trial is set to begin on Sept. 25.
