WEST HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A video uploaded to Snapchat shows a teenage boy brutally punched by another teen he didn't know outside of a West Hills fast-food restaurant.

Authorities said they received a call of a fight in the 6400 block of Platt Avenue around 4:40 p.m. They arrived and found Jordan Peisner, 14, suffering from severe injuries to the head.

He is still receiving treatment at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, suffering from a fractured skull, bleeding and a blood clot on the brain, and a ruptured and detached eardrum. He also suffers from severe headaches and sensitivity to light.

It is unclear if the injuries he sustained will have any lasting effects on him.

Jordan and his two friends were walking home after school on Friday and left a Wendy's restaurant in the shopping center in the area when he was attacked by another boy.

"He just came up behind me, punched me and then ran," Jordan said.

A female friend ended up capturing video of the incident, uploading it to Snapchat.

"When you hear your child is hurt - it's one thing when you watch it. It takes a piece of your soul out," father Ed Peisner said. "Why would you do this? For a laugh or a like?"

The stomach-turning videos are what led authorities to the suspect. He was found at Vanowen Street and Platt Avenue and arrested for felony battery.

Authorities also questioned the teenage girl who shot the video and posted it online.

A GoFundMe account has been started to help cover Jordan's medical cost. To learn more, click here.
