1 dead after apparent shooting, multi-car crash in South Los Angeles
SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person is dead following an apparent shooting and crash involving three vehicles in South Los Angeles.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 66th and Holmes streets. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says deputies responded to a crash in the area, the California Highway Patrol received a call about a car-to-car shooting around the same time.
When deputies arrived, they found a man in one of the cars dead from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim has not been identified.
A view from AIR7 over the scene showed a sedan and SUV with significant damage.
The sheriff's department said a second man, a woman and a teenager were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries relating to the crash.
Further details about the crash and who may have shot the victim were not available. No arrests have been made.
