101 Freeway near downtown LA partially blocked after crash involving semi-truck

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two lanes of the northbound 101 Freeway remain closed because of a crash involving a semi-truck near the Vermont Avenue exit.

Traffic was being diverted onto Vermont as crews responded to the wreck and worked to clear the roadway.

The semi-truck reportedly hit the center divider. It was not immediately clear if the driver suffered any injuries.

A hazmat crew responded to the scene due to a fuel spill.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

No further details were immediately known.
