

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Four people were killed when a car drove off a cliff near the Los Angeles-San Bernardino County line overnight.
The crash was reported just before 1:30 a.m. Friday along the Highway 2 at Flume Canyon Road near Wrightwood, according to the California Highway Patrol's traffic log. Only one vehicle was involved.
Details about what led up to the deadly incident were not available, but the car rolled into a meadow area after going over the cliff. Rescuers needed 40 feet of cable to reach the victims.
Four people died and a fifth person was injured.
