Garret Anderson, Angels Hall of Famer, dies

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- Garret Anderson, former player for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, has died, the team announced Friday.

Details about this death were not immediately released.

"Garret will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Angels fans for his professionalism, class, and loyalty throughout his career and beyond," the Angels said in a social media post. "We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Anderson family."

The left fielder was part of the Angels World Series-winning team back in 2002. He was also a three-time all-star and member of the Angels Hall of Fame.
