Big rig driver killed in fiery crash on 710 Freeway in Lynwood

LYNWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A big rig driver was killed in a fiery crash early Friday morning in Lynwood.

California Highway Patrol officials say the crash happened on the northbound 710 Freeway at Imperial Highway just before 1:30 a.m.

Witnesses say they saw the truck veer to the right and then explode. The driver, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the big rig to crash.
