SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police say a driver in a stolen car crashed into a patrol vehicle in South Los Angeles on Sunday night before fleeing and hitting another vehicle.
Los Angeles police say the first crash happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. at 90th Street and San Pedro Street.
The suspect -- behind the wheel of a vehicle that had been reported stolen -- was reportedly driving recklessly before crashing into the LAPD patrol vehicle. Police say it's unknown if the crash was intentional or not.
The driver fled the scene after the crash, then hit another vehicle before they got out and started running, according to LAPD.
Officers set up a perimeter in the area, looking for the driver. In an update early Monday morning, LAPD said the suspect was still outstanding.
LAPD said an ambulance was requested for the second vehicle hit by the suspect. It's unknown how many people were inside the vehicle or what the extent of the injuries was.
The officer inside the patrol vehicle that was hit was not injured.
