Police chase ends in violent crash in Inglewood; 2 children injured
A police chase involving a carjacking suspect ended in a violent crash Tuesday morning that left several people injured, including two children, according to authorities.

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A carjacking suspect led police on a chase Tuesday morning that ended in a violent crash in Inglewood, leaving four people injured, including two small children.

The crash happened near Centinela and La Brea avenues in Inglewood.

According to the Culver City Police Department, officers were in pursuit of an armed carjacking suspect when the suspect ran a red light and crashed into an innocent driver.

Police said there were four people in the suspect's vehicle: the suspect, a woman, and two young children.

The kids were 5 and 9 years old, according to Culver City PD Public Information Officer Jennifer Atenza.

"The suspect vehicle was wanted in connection with an armed carjacking that previously occurred, so when our officers attempted to stop that vehicle, they actually had contact with the suspect briefly, and he decided to flee," said
Atenza.

The suspect, children, and the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The person the suspect crashed into was also not seriously injured.

"We're thankful for that, but always unfortunate when you see a suspect have complete disregard for human life," said Atenza.

Aaron Flenoy, 24, was arrested at the scene. Culver City police say Flenoy has an extensive criminal history and an outstanding warrant for an armed carjacking back in 2023.

The female passenger, 20-year-old Timberline Davenport, was also arrested for multiple outstanding warrants and felony child endangerment.

The incident remains under investigation.
