Keanu Reeves thanks FBI in handwritten note after stolen watches returned

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Keanu Reeves issued a heartfelt thank you to law enforcement after six of his watches, which were stolen from his Hollywood Hills home nearly two years ago, were returned to him.

One of the watches was a personalized Rolex from his "John Wick" film series.

They were taken as part of a broader wave where crime rings from South America were burglarizing homes in Los Angeles, authorities said. The watches later turned up in Chile.

Police in Chile say they recovered three watches belonging to Keanu Reeves that are thought to have been stolen from his Los Angeles home in late 2023

Reeves sent a handwritten letter to the FBI that reads, in part: "Thank you so much for all your effort, dedication, professionalism and cross-border cooperation."

Meanwhile, Chilean police are working with multiple agencies to get more items returned to the U.S.
