LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Palisades Charter High School football players are proving their grit on the gridiron. They refused to give up after losing their home field in the Palisades Fire.

They've since received a morale boost from the Los Angeles Rams, who invited the school's JV and varsity football teams to practice on the field and get a tour of the Rams locker room.

"This is really a once in a lifetime experience. I'm super grateful to the people at SoFi, the Rams people. I can see some guys that haven't smiled in a long time, ear-to-ear smiling today," said Jack Thomas, quarterback with the Palisades Charter High School football team.

This team has practiced at a different field almost every week, but that's only fueled them to be better players and work harder - and that hard work is paying off.

"We're undefeated, so every team is coming at us and so, being able to prepare with the proper materials, the proper field, the proper equipment, is just such a blessing," said Chayel Flowers, varsity linebackers coach with the Palisades Charter High School Football Team.

These players are fighters, pushing through unimaginable loss from the Palisades Fire. Their head coach says that adversity has only made their bond stronger.

"This is the closest team we've had just because of the circumstances you know, it's always been a brotherhood, but this year, it's a different team, different brotherhood, different family," said Dylan Smith, varsity head coach with the Palisades Charter High School Football Team.

"The hard moments are the ones where you show your true character...That's what's bringing us closer," said Tavian Talbert, a safety with the Palisades Charter High School Football Team.

The Pali High football teams remain as focused as ever and are grateful for the ongoing support from the Rams.

"To practice here, where they play, it's a super beautiful and super rare experience to be walking on this turf right now," Talbert said.

"It takes all of us to get through any given moment. This is what it's all about," said Johnathan Franklin, senior director of the Rams' Social Justice and Football Development.
