SoCal woman escapes moments before her Uber bursts into flames on the way to JFK Airport

NEW YORK (KABC) -- A San Bernardino County woman's trip to the airport turned frightening when the Uber she was riding in suddenly caught fire - and she got it all on video.

The Lake Arrowhead woman was headed to John F. Kennedy International Airport on a minibus-style Uber earlier this week when she heard something fall from the bottom of the vehicle before the driver pulled over.

Moments later, the Uber burst into flames as smoke filled the interior, prompting everyone inside to evacuate.

Eyewitness News reached out to Uber for a comment but has not received a response.

No injuries were reported.
