Lake Elsinore church vandalism suspects sought

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (KABC) -- The search is on for three teenagers caught on surveillance video vandalizing a Lake Elsinore church and then dancing about it.

Surveillance video shows two boys and one girl throwing rocks at the First Lutheran Church on Monday night.

The trio is then seen putting a running hose through a broken window and flooding the church with thousands of gallons of water.

The pastor of the church, Kevin Kolander, hopes someone can identify the kids.

"Part of fixing this would be to come forward and apologize. We're about forgiveness, so we'd want to take that opportunity with them and try to have them make it right," Kolander said.

Cleanup crews were on site on Friday trying to get things ready for weekend services. Heavy fans were brought in to dry the church out, but the drywall, carpet and tile will have to be replaced.
